Health: Spinach and Cucumber smoothie

 

A friend of mine told me about this smoothie a few years ago and I just could not bring myself to try it as it sounded very.....green and earthy tasting, which was not what I was looking for in a smoothie.

After years of avoiding it, I decided to give it a go since I stopped eating meat and wanted to increase my intake of green vegetables.
At first I had trouble with getting the right texture but I preserved and managed to get the perfect consistency for my taste.
Now!
I am converted, it's not the kind of smoothie you drink for indulgent purposes so do not expect to love it straight away but it's so healthy and pack with goodness, you will be doing your body a favour so GIVE IT A GO! and if you really can't take the taste add a small apple.

It's super easy and nutritious...simple add a handful of spinach (Organic preferably) and about half a cucumber diced into a blender with one glass of water and drink.
