Food: Dairy Free Naan Pizza

Recently, I've done a lot of research on food, diet and nutrition and decided to try a vegan low soya diet.
I could go into the reasons but I'll save that for another post.

Last week I got invited to Pizza Express and immediately got filled with dread...what would I eat? I am sure the Vegan Giardiniera is great but I am fussy and not keen on artichoke....

This gave me the idea of creating a pizza I'd like.
The original pizza base idea came from an old friend who used to make me pitta bread pizza all the time, they were soooo yummy!
I took that idea and ran to Asda to get a base for my own dairy free naan pizza which was so delicious, I thought I'd share.
Let me know what you think :-)

Ingredients
Dairy free wholemeal Naan (I got mine in Asda)

Riya's Wholemeal Naan Bread

Tomato and basil pasta sauce
Mixed herbs
Paprika
Cayenne pepper
Red onion
Garlic
Peppers
Mushrooms
Black Olives
Courgette
Plum tomatoes
Violife dairy free mozzarella flavour (Cheese)

Method
Add the pasta sauce to a pan on a low heat and season with mixed herbs, paprika & cayenne pepper to taste.
Let the sauce cool and spread evenly on the naan bread.
Add the Violife and sprinkle the vegetables
Cook on a medium heat till the veg is cooked through and ENJOY!

Health: Oolong Tea

***Oolong tea***

I recently went to Thailand and overheard some very youthful older ladies talking about their love of Oolong tea in the markets. I asked what I was for and one of them said "by the time you reach our age, you'll be grateful for oolong" and laughed. I didn't quite get the joke but I decided to do a little digging and find out more...

What is Oolong?
Camellia sinensis (aka Oolong) is a species of evergreen shrub or small tree whose leaves and leaf buds are used to produce tea.

What are the said benefits?

I bought my 1st Oolong vacuum pack from a herbal shop in Thailand and a tea infuser from Flying Tiger (London) and had my first cup.

Taste wise it's not my favourite type of tea (similar to green tea) but if it does all it is said to I will definitely keep drinking it.

Fashion: 1 item 3looks

***1item 3looks***

As a self confessed superscrimper, I am all for a bargain and getting the most out of all my purchases...within reason of course!

That being said, when it comes to buying wardrobe basics it's always best to go for good quality items. That way you don't end up buying repeat cheap items and wasting money.

I recently bought a pair of culottes for a client and she is very much like me with regards to frugal living, so 1 item 3 ways is perfect for her and her bank balance!
It's also a great way to add variety to your style with fewer pieces.

Check them out!

Food & Drink: Oyster Sauce

Image result for Love oyster sauce

My trip to Thailand last year was on of my best yet. It was so beautiful and I would love to revisit!
One of the best parts of my trip was doing an authentic Thai cooking class at Asia Scenic cooking school in ChaingMai.

One of the key ingredients in Thai cooking is Oyster Sauce.
I've never actually tried oysters, they look scary and I can't imagine the texture is something I would enjoy.
-Yes, I have mild Trypophia. No, I don't want to go into it as I might faint.

Anyway..back to food!
So, I haven't tried Oysters but love the flavour Oyster sauce brings to dishes.
In Thailand I tried broccoli in Oyster sauce....It was one of the nicest things I'd ever tasted and I made sure I wasn't leaving Thailand without a bottle of authentic oyster sauce.

And I didn't...since then I have tried oyser sauce on almost all my homemade Thai-inspired meals.

Beauty: My Beauty favourites

Image result for natural beauty products quotes

In a time where we're bombarded with various beauty products, routines and methods, we also have "beauty influencers".
Most "beauty influencers" mean well and give some great tips for natural skin care but there are so many who encourage the use over 10 products at a time to look like carbon copies of ...well, mannequins or pop culture celebrities.
From contouring to highlighting, priming and concealing it's so easy to get lost in the mountains of beauty products we're told we NEED to look and feel beautiful...Is it all necessary?
Almost every day there is a new wonder brush or miracle powder on the market which claims to make you look like a photoshopped model or 10years younger with zero flaws...Beauty is serious business!

Personally I am not keen on a face full of products and make-up. I try and keep my skin care and beauty regimes as natural and simple as possible by sticking to what I like and what my skin loves.

So what beauty concoctions do I love?
