For anyone who may not yet of heard about author Nichelle Gainer, I highly recommend you check out her awesome Facebook Page that serves as a preview to her forthcoming must have book, 'Vintage Black Glamour', which in her own words is a "visual tribute to some of the glamorous, accomplished and often ground-breaking Black Women - legendary and obscure - of the 20th century".
Gainer has clearly undertaken a vast amount of research and has compiled some of the most stunning photographs for this work. For example, check out Eartha Kitt (aka the first Black Catwoman) on the front cover above.
