Remembering: Ruby Dee

It hasn't even been 3 solid weeks since we lost Auntie Maya and now the ever so Regal Auntie Ruby has collected her wings too.

Like a plethora of Our Elders from her generation, Ruby Dee used the platform she gained through her memorable contributions to the Arts, to bear the fearless title of Civil Rights Activist, during times that were much harder than those we live in now. Fighting not only for her generation but for all generations of Our community, while simultaneously shining as one of the finest examples of Black Love with her equally phenomenal late husband, Ossie Davis. It is for those reasons, we will always owe her the most gratitude.

To one of the Last Great Gatekeepers we say Rest In Paradise!
