So...there's a new TV show in the US called 'Black-ish' starring Laurence Fisburne, Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis-Ross, Yara Shahidi and Marcus Scribner.
The show is based around a Black family man (Anderson) living in the US suburbs, as he navigates day to day between his family life and working life, while aiming to address issues such as racism, stereotypes and culture, much like other previous Black US sitcoms but with more of a direct approach.
I managed to watch the first episode, via YouTube and thought it was OK but, as usual the show has already been criticised for being racist etc. Unfortunately, we knew that was coming because anytime We Black people try to express anything in relation to certain aspects of Our experiences we're deemed as racist...YAWN!
I hope the show's producers, cast and crew ignore all the rubbish critique and keep it going.
I for one will be tuning in...via YouTube lol
