Executive Produced by Todd Tucker, husband of Kandi Burruss formerly of Xscape and 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' fame, 'The Hollywood Divas' is a similar concept to that of 'The Real Housewives' franchise, however it shows some of Hollywood's very well known Black actresses; Paula Jai Parker, Countess Vaughn, Golden Brooks, Elise Neal and Lisa Wu-Hartwell and the various states of their current lives, which includes being a full time mum, a working actress, dancer, producer and so forth.
After watching the first two episodes in the series, we see the ladies getting to know each other, forgiving each other for past and present offences and coming together to produce a project brought to the ladies by Paula. We also get to see sides to the ladies that we have not previously seen over the years, whether that be Golden Brooks' insecurity projected onto the others in the group, the fact that Paula Jai Parker has been homeless ind living in a hotel with her family for a while, Countess Vaughn wanting "fix my fat" surgery, Elise wanting to prove she still got it and Lisa adjusting to the acting scene and wanting to shake off the stigma of the reality star, considering that's not where she initially got her start.
So far the series has started off as a bitch fest, but hopefully will end on a high with all 5 ladies getting on well, and a great collaborative project to show at the end of it.
