True to the original story-line but with a modern twist, 'Annie' is about a young girl who despite being abandoned as a baby by her parents and being left to come of age in a foster home, still manages to believe in the possibility of a better life for herself, which slowly comes to fruition when she is adopted by a mayoral candidate who at first, uses the adoption as a part of his campaign strategy before realizing there is a lot more happiness to be had in life than just professional success.
Produced by Will and Jada Smith this remake of a Hollywood classic stars the youngest ever Oscar Nominee Quvenzhane Wallis and Oscar Winner Jamie Foxx (whom from watching the trailer have some great on screen chemistry) and is due in cinema's this December.
I'm definitely gonna check it out ;-)
