Most will know Countess Vaughn who
shot to fame in the US sitcom 'Moesha', and later starred in her own spin off show 'The Parkers'.
The
actress and singer recently appeared on an episode of a panel show called ‘The
Doctors’ where she spoke about her addiction to lacefront wigs since 2004, which
robbed her of hair and pigment on her hairline and under eyes, and could have
very nearly cost her her life.
It’s a very sad watch, and
upsetting to see what some of the things us ladies go through to conform
to today’s beauty standards, can do to our health.
The moral of the story is “you’ve
got to love yourself before anyone else can”. Every woman is beautiful in
their own right, and we should look to ourselves for what’s beautiful, before
anyone else.
