Film Review: 'Lucy'

Directed by Luc Besson (Fifth Element)

Lucy...said to be the name of the first human, who's remains were found in Ethiopia....If this is the kind of content you're looking forward to...Sorry, this is not the film!

A good film, with an interesting concept.
It would be great to know what would happen if the human mind was used more but I found the story line weak!
Basically a drug lord develops a synthetic drug which the female body naturally produces in very small quantities during pregnancy.
One of the drug lord's drug mules (Scarlett Johansson) is attacked while carrying the drugs which leak into her system and she is able to access more of her brain than anyone else...EVER!
The film aims to show you what is potentially possible etc but there could have been more action..spark, something.

There was little action in the film and I felt the trailer showed the best parts of the film, which spoilt it for me...Scarlett Johansson was OK as the lead but not amazing and I could've done without the see through shirt the whole way through the film...anyway.

Morgan Freeman played his usual philosophical genius self, Lucy tracks him down before she access 100% of her brain, turns into a computer and downloads all her knowledge about life and the universe and gives it to Morgan Freeman on a USB stick....

All in all I think the ending was a big cop out, maybe the producers ran out of funds...who knows but I'd give 'Lucy' a 6/10 for my first watch...it could be one of those films that need to be watched more than once...
